Helping your pet pass peacefully at home

For elderly, unwell or anxious pets, remaining at home can make their final experience much gentler. They can rest in a favourite place, surrounded by familiar voices, scents and the people who love them.

I am Dr Mallory Taylor MRCVS, an experienced veterinary surgeon providing individual home euthanasia visits for dogs and cats in Woodhall Spa and neighbouring villages.

My approach is calm and unhurried, with sedation included as a standard part of every appointment.

There is no obligation when you enquire. I will speak with you first, check availability and confirm the full price before arranging your visit.

Your pet’s comfort comes first

When I arrive, we will take time to discuss how your pet has been and what you would like for their goodbye. I will talk you through the process so you know what to expect.

Sedation allows your pet to become deeply relaxed and sleepy while you comfort them. Once they are peacefully asleep and no longer aware, I administer the final medication.

You may choose where your pet settles, whether that is in their bed, on your lap or in a peaceful place outside when circumstances allow.

Support after the appointment

There is no need to decide everything alone. You can arrange a home burial where legally appropriate, choose your own crematorium or ask me to help with transportation.

I can personally take your pet to Southern Sky Pet Crematorium, where individual and communal cremation options are available. Their team can discuss your preferences for ashes and keepsakes directly with you.

Woodhall Spa is beyond my standard 15-mile area. The additional travel charge is £2 per mile for every mile beyond 15 miles from Saxilby, calculated on the one-way distance. You will always know the total cost before confirming an appointment.
