Visits are provided by Dr Mallory Taylor MRCVS and include sedation as standard. Appointments are unhurried, giving you privacy and time together without the pressures of a busy practice environment.

Sending an appointment request does not commit you to proceeding. I will contact you to discuss your pet, check availability and confirm the cost of the visit.

Saying goodbye somewhere familiar

Your pet can be wherever they feel most comfortable—perhaps resting in their usual bed, lying beside you or enjoying a favourite place in the garden.

Before beginning, I will listen to your concerns, explain the process and answer any questions. Your pet will then receive sedation, allowing them to become calm and deeply asleep with you nearby.

Only once they are fully relaxed and unaware will the final medication be given. There is no need to hurry at any point.

Practical help afterwards

You may choose to keep your pet with you and arrange a home burial where legally permitted, or make your own arrangements with a pet crematorium.

If you would like me to help, I can personally transport your pet to Southern Sky Pet Crematorium. Their team offers a choice of cremation and ashes options, which can be discussed directly with you.
